The Peace Training and Research Organisation (PTRO) has released second quarter data from their Human Security Indicators Project, which is an attempt to construct a more holistic picture of security in Afghanistan, moving beyond traditional hard security measures. The researchers chose indicators like people’s ability to move freely, provide for their families, and access government services. Click to access the information for HelmandKunduzNangarhar, Kabul and Kandahar provinces. In the near future, the PTRO will release their third quarter data, as well as an interactive map comparing results of the survey at the district level.
