Nancy Regehr

Board Chair

Nancy Regehr is the former associate executive director of Project Ploughshares, a disarmament and peace-building research and policy organization in Waterloo.


During her 30 years with Project Ploughshares, she had responsibilities for finance, fundraising, personnel, administration and board governance.

Earlier in her career, Nancy taught in elementary schools in Kitchener and Peterborough, and spent several years in southern Africa with her husband Ernie and their children.

In addition to being chair of the Centre for Security Governance, Nancy is a board member of two other charities in Kitchener-Waterloo, the Grand Philharmonic Choir and MennoHomes Inc., providing volunteer service in the areas of governance and finance.
